Soltirean Infantrymen 1949-1987

Soltirea, coming out of the Second World War. Had suffered immense losses in the War's against Soviet Sumoi, and the Western Allies, but not entirely defeated. With Kirkwall now using the scapegoat of Communism as a reason to keep him in power. The Western Allies allowed him to continue his rule of the Kingdom of Soltirea. Under the Marshal Plan, Soltirea would be rebuilt...aswell as rearmed. The need for a stronger Soltirean military came out of the brief war with Sumoi from 1948-1949, when the Red army nearly broke past the Ingush Mountain range into the Soltic Heartland. Following their surprising Victory against the Communist onslaught, the Western powers sent military Aide to Soltirea.Kirkwall being...well Kirkwall, Milked the recovery and allowed NATO and other western military alliances to bolster his own national military! Which allowed him to refit the soltirean soldier with everything he needed.

As you can see here, the soldier was given a Flak Vest, and much equipment (this one being a Infantry Radio Men), and they were armed with the latest the government had to offer, including the Luger Self Loading Rifle, into the 50's the FN FAL, and later into the late 70's the G3A3. Along with the Walter series of pistols. Most coming from their former ally of the war...Verucia. Under Kirkwalls regime the Military played the role of National Defense, Policing, State Sponsored racism and genocide against non-human populations, and well...the Symbol of hope and "democracy" for Central Europa. The Stahl helm was even kept and constantly updated to meet the modern battle field and was eventually replaced for a more modern helmet in 1999 similar to the 6B27 Helmet used by Sumoi.
